Overview
A class action settlement has been reached in a wage and hour dispute involving Live Nation Worldwide, Inc. The lawsuit, filed by Jordan Knowles on December 28, 2023, in Sacramento Superior Court, alleges that Live Nation failed to comply with California wage and hour laws. The case specifically addresses claims that the company violated state requirements regarding compensation for hourly and non-exempt workers employed during the settlement period. The settlement applies to all current and former hourly employees and non-exempt workers who worked for Live Nation or HOB Entertainment in California between September 16, 2020, and July 11, 2025.
Live Nation has agreed to pay a total of $2,400,000 to resolve the claims. This amount will be distributed among eligible class members based on the number of weeks they worked during the relevant time period, with additional payments directed to the California Labor and Workforce Development Agency and to cover court-approved attorney fees and administrative costs. Class members will receive notice of the settlement in both English and Spanish. Those who receive notice have several options available to them.
They may do nothing and accept the settlement terms. Alternatively, they can submit a claim to receive their share of the settlement funds. Class members also have the right to opt out of the settlement if they prefer to pursue their own legal action, or they may object to the settlement terms by notifying the court. The court will hold a final approval hearing to determine whether to accept the settlement agreement.
